促红素（erythropoietin，EPO），是由肾皮质近曲小管管周细胞分泌的由166个氨基酸组成的糖蛋白。临床应用的促红素为重组人红细胞生成素，是用DNA重组技术合成的，作用与天然的内源性物质相似。
