P度量系统 | P-metric

统一的轮胎尺寸标识系统，最初由美国轮胎厂商于1977年推出，通常称作P度量系列(P-metric series)。例如，一款典型的P度量轮胎是P205/70R14 93S。

充气轮胎 | Pneumatic tire

设计为充气后使用的轮胎。

正外倾角 | Positive camber

轮胎的顶部比底部更加向外的**角度，轮胎顶部向车辆外侧倾斜。

正后倾角 | Positive caster

转向车轴顶部向后倾斜的**设置。

跑偏 | Pull

并非转向时，由于不规则的轮胎磨损、错误的前后轮**或者制动磨损/调整错误，车辆行驶时偏向一侧的现象。

子午线轮胎 | Radial ply tyre

一种帘布方向与胎面中心线呈90度排列的轮胎。

子午线XSE技术 | Radial XSE Technology

在橡胶配方中加入硅的一种革命性的技术，它可以增强轮胎的湿地牵引力、雪地牵引力和滚动阻力。

轮圈 | Rim

轮胎安装到轮辋上的部分。

轮圈直径 | Rim diameter

轮圈胎圈座的直径。

轮圈安全槽 | Rim Drop

在轮胎安装过程中，这是胎圈区域放置在轮辋凸缘上的位置，可以让轮胎安坐在轮圈上。

轮辋凸缘 | Rim flange

轮辋上轮圈表面接触轮胎胎圈的表面。

轮胎换位 | Rotation

按照特定的规律，将车辆的前后或者左右轮胎交换位置。轮胎换位可以保持平均的胎面磨损。定期进行轮胎换位是延长轮胎使用寿命的简单方法。请参阅您的轮胎保养手册，了解厂商建议的换位方法。

橡胶配方 | Rubber compound

根据精心研制的工艺，将多种原材料混合在一起。橡胶配方是按照每一款轮胎的性能要求而开发的。

横截面高度 | Section height

轮胎的高度，测量的是其胎圈到外侧胎面的距离。

横截面宽度 | Section width

轮胎两侧胎侧的距离，不包括胎侧上的任何字符或者设计图案。

服务描述 | Service deion

模刻在胎侧上的数字或者文字，指示了轮胎的承重能力、负载指数以及在特定条件下，轮胎可以负载行驶的速度（速度级别）。“服务描述”亦称载重指数和速度级别。

晃动 | Shimmy

车辆上的车轮左右晃动，这可能是由多种原因导致，其中包括轮胎不平衡、**不准或者轮辋弯曲变形等。

胎肩 | Shoulder

轮胎上胎面和胎侧结合的部位。

胎侧 | Sidewall

轮胎上胎面与胎圈之间的部位，它可以保护轮胎胎体层免受路肩的碰擦。胎侧上还会有各种标识，告诉用户有关轮胎的重要信息。

含硅胎面配方 | Silica Tread Compound

含硅的胎面橡胶配方，可以有效降低轮胎的滚动阻力而不牺牲轮胎的抓地力。

单胎 | Singles

车轴的每一侧安装一条轮胎（每个车轴上安装两条）。

细小沟槽 | Sipes

胎面花纹块**殊的细小沟槽，当轮胎滚动到路面触点时将打开并随后关闭，打破路面的水张力，令橡胶可以接触到路面，保持粘附，提高湿地和雪地牵引力。

尺寸 | Size

轮胎宽度、结构类型、高宽比和胎圈尺寸的组合信息，用于区分轮胎。

雪地轮胎 | Snow tyre

一种特殊类型的轮胎，其胎面花纹和配方可以在冰雪条件下获得更好的牵引力。雪地轮胎在胎侧有M+S、M&S或者M/S标识。

速度级别 | Speed rating

速度符号为一指示字母，范围由J 到Z，在相关的载重指数所对应的载重能力下，每一字母表示轮胎可允许的最高速度。

稳定性 | Stability

驾车者保持车辆控制的状态。

转向反应 | Steering response

车辆对于驾驶者的转向操作的反应，以及驾驶者从方向盘上获得的反馈。

转向系统 | Steering system

让驾驶者可以引导和控制车辆行进方向的整个机制，其中包括方向盘、驾驶杆、转向齿轮以及车轮支持等。

结构 | Structure

轮胎胎体构造的方式。子午线结构的轮胎带有“radial”或者字母“R”标识，今天已经是大多数车辆所选用的轮胎结构。

悬挂 | Suspension

用于将车辆框架、车身、引擎和动力传动系统悬挂在车轮上的各种弹簧、减震器和连杆机构。

合成橡胶 | Synthetic rubber

人造（而不是天然）的橡胶。今天，大多数轿车和轻卡轮胎配方中都带有相对少量的天然橡胶。

轮胎标记 | Tyre Designation

在轮胎胎侧上的一个由字母和数字组成的代码，它描述了轮胎的规格，其中包括宽度、高宽比、胎圈直径、负载指数和速度级别。

轮胎混装 | Tyre Mixing

不同品牌、类型或者尺寸的轮胎混合装配在同一辆车上的情况。这么做可以导致车辆具有不同的行驶和操控性能。轮胎混装必须咨询专业的车辆4S店或轮胎店。

轮胎标牌 | Tyre Placard

永久固定在车辆上的一个金属或者纸质标牌，它指示了车辆使用的轮胎尺寸和充气压力。这个标牌一般都在驾驶者一侧的车门上、手套箱盖或者油箱盖上。

前束角 | Toe

安装在同一个轴上的一对轮胎前后部分距离之差。

车轮前束 | Toe-In

前束(俗称“内八字”)=同一车轴两条轮胎前端之间的距离短于后端之间的距离。

车轮前展 | Toe-Out

(俗称“外八字”)=同一车轴两条轮胎前端之间的距离长于后端之间的距离。

旅行型轮胎 | Touring Tyres

提供耐磨、舒适和牵引力的轮胎。

轨迹 | Track

同一个轴上的两条轮胎印迹外侧的距离。

牵引力 | Traction

轮胎与路面之间产生的摩擦力的反作用力,该反作用力使车辆被牵引往前行驶。

跳动 | Tramping

车辆异常地上下跳动的状态。

胎面 | Tread

轮胎上与路面接触的部位。胎面的沟槽设计各不相同，可以在各种不同条件下提供牵引力、承受高冲撞力，具有耐磨、耐热的特点。

花纹磨损指示 | Treadwear Indicator

在胎面每条纵向沟槽内部周向有多处高度为1.6毫米的橡胶凸起,当胎面磨损到达该凸起时,表明必须更换轮胎了。

充气不足 | Under-inflation

未充入足够的气压以承受车身及乘客、货物总重量的行驶状况。当轮胎内部聚积的热量达到轮胎强度下降的时候，可能会导致轮胎损毁。

转向不足 | Under-steer

前轮车胎比后轮车胎行驶更大的滑移角，导致前轮打滑的操控状态。并非由其弹簧所支撑的车辆部件的重量，其中包括轮辋、轮胎、外侧制动总成、后轴总成、悬挂部件、弹簧、减震器和防倾杆等。

UTQGS

亦称“统一轮胎质量分级标准”(UniformXSS Tyre Quality Grading Standards)。一个政府赞助的轮胎信息系统，为消费者提供轮胎牵引力和温度的（从AA到C）评级。胎面磨损的评级一般是60到70。
